It wasn't until I began to bring the emotion and intimacy of wedding photography into my family portraits that I found what I knew in my bones I was called to do. I began to create the images I would want as a mother.
Yes, I want the perfect photo for my mantle, but more so the images that pull my heart and remind me of the absolute joy that is motherhood. The photos that bring memories to the surface of the way her fuzzy newborn head smelled, how their chubby toddler hand fit into yours, or the teenage smirk that looks JUST like his dad. Those are the images I will cherish long after the perfect, smiling Christmas cards are mailed out, and those are the memories I want to give to you.
don't have the "I picked up a camera when I was 16 and never looked back" story. I preferred art history to studio courses, and struggled to find my creativity in a classroom setting.
A snapshot into my life

We spend more time on the road than home for all of their various activities, but I wouldn't trade this life for anything. We're definitely living in "the good old days".
My adorable kids

Mountains, beach, some random town where we have a soccer tournament - let's go! Family vacation is our favorite time of the year, and we can road trip with the best of them.
Jess is absolutely wonderful! Photos with her are not just the session, but the whole experience, starting with styling your outfits (which can be a big stressor for me). And my husband is notorious for being a photo taking hater, but she made it such a calm, fun, and enjoyable experience for all of us. The photos turned out so dreamy and I can't wait to use them for Christmas cards!
Jessica has taken our family pictures for years, and she's absolutely the best! She has a way of making our entire family feel calm, gets my cranky kids to smile, and even helps me pick out coordinating outfits! Her portraits always come out beautifully and she captures the personality of our family so well. We love you, Jessica!
